It was recently revealed that legendary Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter will appear in season two of Supergirl, a casting decision which shows that The CW is going to great lengths to make sure that the series – which has already added Superman in a key role – is a hit for them following its leap from CBS.

Carter is going to play the United States President, and while it’s unknown just how larger her role in Supergirl is going to be, some new set photos offer up a look at the actress alongside the Girl of Steel. What are these two doing together? That remains to be seen, but it looks like the hero will be stepping into the public spotlight in a big way if she’s rubbing shoulders with the President.

There’s been some talk lately that the events of Flashpoint will merge Supergirl’s world with the one Green Arrow, the Legends of Tomorrow and the Flash call home. If that’s the case, Carter will be the President in those shows too, something which may very well lead to her showing up throughout all of them.

That’s purely rumour/speculation for now of course, but what we do know is that Carter is going to be making her presence felt in a major way in Supergirl when it returns this Fall.
