After an excellent first season, Rick and Morty premiered its sophomore outing a few weeks back and already, things are off to a great start. It looks like it will stay that way, too, as Adult Swim has picked up a third season of Dan Harmon’s acclaimed animated comedy.

According to Deadline, who broke the news, the second season premiere was “ranked number 1 in its time period among all key adults and men.” Furthermore, the episode also saw “triple-digit gains over the first season premiere” and the following week, when episode two of the new season aired, the show saw “a gain of up to 27% among all key demos.”

Rick and Morty airs every Sunday at 11:30pm on Adult Swim, and if for some reason you’re not watching this show yet, please rectify that mistake immediately. It’s hands down one of the most creative, hilarious and just downright absurd things on television right now, and should not be missed.
