A new trailer for Prototype 2 has surfaced. It chronicles the events of the game’s virus outbreak, told through news reports and phone conversations between a soldier and his family. That particular father happens to be a member of Blackwatch, which was assigned to clean up the streets of the city in turmoil. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as they’d hoped, with the virus proving its ability to transform health humans into shambling corpses.

Along with the new (and relatively creepy) promotional video, Activision has also given us a new set of screenshots for the sandbox action game. They’re full of action, soldiers and heinous creatures.

Check them out below.

Prototype 2 will be released on April 24. Its Blackwatch Collector’s Edition set was just announced.
