Friday, October 8th

DISNEY+

  • Disney Junior Mickey’s Tale Of Two Witches (2021) – A new family film made especially for Halloween. Mickey’s Tale Of Two Witches sees two witches in training, Minnie the Wonderful and Daisy Doozy, having to complete a series of tests to graduate from Witch Academy.
  • Muppets Haunted Mansion (2021) – Combining the ever-popular Muppets with the famous Disney Parks ride. Muppets Haunted Mansion sees Gonzo and Pepe the King Prawn spending the night in a haunted mansion full of ghostly Muppets and celebrity cameos. 
  • Under Wraps (2021)– A remake of the popular 1997 film, this movie sees a group of 12-year-olds accidentally revive a Mummy. The group has to put the Mummy back to rest while also stopping a group of criminals who want to capture and sell the creature. 

HBO MAX

  • Voyagers (2021) – A group of young humans on a colony ship find that their superiors have been drugging them to keep them compliant and emotionally dulled. A few stop taking the drug and, with their new emotions, they start to question the true meaning of their mission. 

HULU

  • Cannabis Evolution (2019) A documentary on medical cannabis and how its rollout has been affected by the war on drugs and other governmental interventions. 
  • Jacinta (2021) – A Hulu-original feature documentary about intergenerational trauma and addiction. It follows a young woman who struggles to find stability and deal with addiction while reconnecting with her estranged daughter. 

NETFLIX

  • A Tale Dark & Grimm– An animated series based on the books by Adam Gidwitz. It follows Hansel and Gretel (now a Prince and Princess) as they travel through various Grimm fairytale worlds searching for the perfect parents. 
  • Family Business [Season 3] – A comedy about a failed and broke entrepreneur who decides to turn their Kosher butcher shop into Paris’ first marijuana coffee shop to cash in on legalized pot.
  • Grudge (2021) – Turkish-language film about a police officer who, while celebrating, kills a man. The officer is then assigned the murder case, forcing him to play cat and mouse with himself. 
  • LOL Surprise: The Movie (2021) – Based on the famous toy line, this 45-minute mixed media movie follows a young girl who gets sucked into the doll’s world. 
  • My Brother, My Sister (2021)– An Italian drama that follows two siblings forced to live together for a year due to a clause in their father’s will. While the siblings struggle to adapt, their children find surprising kinship in each other as both families learn about acceptance. 
  • Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle (2020) – The 23rd film in the Pokémon franchise sees Ash Ketchum and Pikachu meet a boy raised by Pokémon and learn that his home may be under threat.
  • Pretty Smart– A sitcom starring Emily Osment as Chelsea, a depressed but book-smart writer forced to move in with her outgoing sister and three roommates. 

Saturday, October 9th

HBO MAX

  • Birdgirl [Season 1]– Spin-off of cult-favorite Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. It sees Judy Ken Sebben take over her father’s company while dealing with her wacky friends and fighting crime as Birdgirl
  • To Your Eternity [Season 1] (Subtitled) – Part of HBO Max’s Crunchyroll anime collection. To Your Eternity follows Fushi, an eternal being who searches the world to find what it means to be human. 

HULU

  • Shark Tank [Season 13 Premiere] – The first episode of a new season of the popular reality show that sees entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a group of experts in the hope of getting them to invest. 

NETFLIX

  • Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013) – The sequel to the breakout horror hit sees husband and wife Josh and Renai Lambert deal with the supernatural events that plague their family. 
  • Blue Period – An anime following high school student Yatora Yaguchi. Yatora struggles with life until he discovers art. However, his artistic dreams face several obstacles.

  • G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013)– The second in the G.I. Joe action film franchise, Retaliation sees the Joes framed for a crime they didn’t commit, forcing them to fight back and clear their name. 
  • Rogue Hostage (2021)– An action-thriller that sees a former marine trapped in a race against time. He must save his daughter, a congressman, and a group of hostages from a store where they are being held captive.
