Liam Neeson will indeed appear in the film as Ra’s al Ghul. The Wrath Of The Titans website confirmed this with the following passage.

“[Liam] Neeson next appears in Peter Berg’s actioner ‘Battleship’ and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan’s much anticipated action thriller ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’”

If you recall, Neeson played Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins but he seemingly was killed at the end of the first film. Since then, fanboys have debated whether he was really dead.

A few months ago, Neeson was spotted on set and many debated if it was just a visit or if he was shooting scenes. Now we know the answer.

The only thing unclear now is how he’ll appear in the film. Will it be through flashbacks? Is he still alive? How will he factor into the story?

All will be revealed on July 20th when The Dark Knight Rises hits theatres.
