Variety is reporting that Bullhead star Matthias Schoenaerts will reunite with his Rust And Bone co-star Marion Cotillard in Guillaume Canet’s upcoming film Blood Ties. Furthermore, Lily Taylor and The Wire‘s Domenick Lombardozzi will also be joining the film.
The script was penned by Canet and James Grey and is an adaptation of a French novel that has already been turned into a French film called Rivals, which Canet starred in. The film, which is set in 1970’s New York, follows “a younger brother (Billy Crudup) who has to ask his convict older brother (Clive Owen) to go back into the underworld to help out the family.”
Blood Ties stars Clive Owen, Billy Crudup, Marion Cotillard, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana, Matthias Schoenaerts, Noah Emmerich, Lilly Taylor, Domenick Lombardozzi and James Caan. It will begin filming on April 30th with a 2013 release date expected.
