What’s Left For Gamers In 2010?

So, since we're less than one month away from the end of 2010 (which has been a great year for gamers), should we keep our eyes set on 2011 for big releases such as Little Big Planet 2, Gears Of War 3, L.A. Noire, and Killzone 3? Well, yes, but not quite yet, as there are still games planned for release by the end of the year to tide you over until we hit 2011.

So, since we’re less than one month away from the end of 2010 (which has been a great year for gamers), should we keep our eyes set on 2011 for big releases such as Little Big Planet 2, Gears Of War 3, L.A. Noire, and Killzone 3? Well, yes, but not quite yet, as there are still games planned for release by the end of the year to tide you over until we hit 2011.

So, what are they?

As you may have noticed in the main picture above, Bad Company 2 players are getting an expansion pack in the form of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. This expansion pack is said to bring around 4 new maps, 6 new vehicles, and 15 new weapons to the game, along with some new trophies/achievements to unlock. Perhaps DICE and the Battlefield fans are ready to show Call Of Duty how Vietnam is really done? We’ll find out when it releases December 21st as a download only on Xbox Live and PSN.

Fans of the popular MMORPG World Of Warcraft get the long-awaited expansion Cataclysm which is dropping December 7th. The expansion pack will take players of the massively popular online game to new areas, featuring a re-designed Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor areas, along with raising the level cap from 80 to 85 and plenty of new quests and towns. Got a World Of Warcraft player in the family? They’ll probably be expecting this one under the Christmas tree this year, if they can wait that long to get it, that is.

Last but not least, there’s Tron: Evolution. I know movie games are usually pretty bad, but this game looks interesting. Serving as a prequel to the movie, science fiction fans can get their fix on December 7th, and while this probably won’t outsell the World Of Warcraft Expansion, it does seem like a decent game from what I’ve seen. The game is coming out on pretty much every system, and is said to be a third-person action game with incorporated racing and RPG elements. There’s also four distinct multiplayer modes, two focusing on regular combat and two focusing on vehicular combat.

Well, there you have it, three games releasing within the next 30 days that should keep gamers happy, whether they’re an FPS, RPG, or Sci Fi fan.
