Check Out This Fan-Made Dark Knight Trilogy Poster

While most folks are simply excited for The Dark Knight Rises (not exactly an earth-shattering statement, I realize), what about the fact that the film completes a trilogy for Christopher Nolan? With word that this will be Nolan's last Batman film, there's definitely a sense of a journey that began with Batman Begins in 2005, continued with The Dark Knight in 2008 and now concludes on July 20.

While most folks are simply excited for The Dark Knight Rises (not exactly an earth-shattering statement, I realize), what about the fact that the film completes a trilogy for Christopher Nolan? With word that this will be Nolan’s last Batman film, there’s definitely a sense of a journey that began with Batman Begins in 2005, continued with The Dark Knight in 2008 and now concludes on July 20.

I suspect most folks with feel a sense of completeness and finality (and a bit of weepiness) when it hits them that The Dark Knight Rises is the end for Nolan’s Batman, so this fan-made poster for the IMAX marathon of all three films from a fan known as Messenjahmatt (via Comic Book Movie) will undoubtedly pack more of an emotional punch come late July.

Perfectly aligning the bat logo from all three films and featuring the main villains from each, it’s hard to imagine Warner Bros. coming up with a better design when all three films are released as a trilogy on Blu-Ray. I had no previous plans (at this point) to re-watch “Begins” and “Dark Knight,” but after beholding this, it’s hard to come up with a good reason not to.
