‘Ant-Man’ fans agree there’s one way that ‘Quantumania’ is the absolute worst of the trilogy

It's not even out yet, but this is already true.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is now right around the corner, and while there’s a lot of hype surrounding the incoming threequel, thanks to its more dramatic tone, the increased stakes, and the inclusion of the MCU’s new big bad Kang, not everything about Peyton Reed’s latest Marvel effort is acclaimed. In fact, it seems there’s one aspect of Quantumania that fans are agreeing makes it the absolute worst of the entire Ant-Man trilogy.

A tweet by @MCU_Direct that combined the character posters for Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) for 2015’s Ant-Man, 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, and 2023’s Quantumania has inspired a new revelation in the fandom. Namely, that the latest movie’s posters are the weakest of the bunch by a comfortable margin.

The original Ant-Man posters ran with the clever concept of coming at the characters from Ant-Man’s POV, and many feel that kind of creativity has been lost from the marketing over the years.

Some prefer the simplicity of the earlier posters over the loud colors of the Quantumania ones.

There’s even some love for the sequel’s posters, but not a lot for the threequel’s.

Character posters, on the whole, aren’t supposed to make fans depressed about the movie they’re promoting.

Although there is one positive of the Quantumania posters — they’re reminding people yet again that Paul Rudd is immortal.

There’s a lot riding on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, seeing as it has to kick off Phase Five with flair. We’ll find out if it manages it come its entrance in theaters on Feb. 17.
