Dwayne Johnson enjoying an alcohol-fueled night with his stunt double causes plenty of double takes

A lot of people must have thought they were seeing double.

Given the sheer size of the man, you’d have thought finding a stunt double who can convincingly step in for Dwayne Johnson would be a difficult task. Then again, seeing as being an absolute unit runs in the family, it shouldn’t be all that much of a surprise to know that he simply recruited his own flesh and blood.

It’s a stroke of luck that Johnson’s cousin Tanoai Reed just so happens to be a huge, jacked, bald dude that’s almost exactly the same height and build as his illustrious A-list relative with a quarter of a century’s experience as a stunt performer, then, with the industry veteran working on virtually every single one of The Rock’s projects dating right back to The Scorpion King, meaning they’ve been entwined since the very beginning of the actor and producer’s ascension to the very top of the Hollywood ladder.

As a result, the two heading out for a night on the town with plenty of alcohol involved would have no doubt caused many patrons with a head full of booze to be forced into a double take, but Johnson and Reed looked to be having an absolute blast after hitting the hard stuff and taking a trip to see the band Common Kings live in concert.

If we were to hedge our bets, it wouldn’t be out of the question to suggest that liberal helpings of Teremana tequila were to blame, especially when Johnson’s last flirtation with Common Kings saw him knock back his fair share of shots. He didn’t promote it this time, though, but we can only imagine what would be going through the mind of a sozzled concertgoer waking up and questioning if they’d gotten so drunk they’d seen two versions of The Rock.
