Euphoria star Zendaya was rumored to be appearing at this year’s Met Gala. And while the actress hasn’t arrived at the event as of writing, photos of her rumored outfit fooled fans on social media.
Images of the actress wearing a black, lacy dress have circulated on social media, something that’s completely different compared to previous outfits she’s worn in the past. According to W Magazine, Zendaya’s past outfits are usually fully covered, or somewhat vibrant. 2018 was an exception though as she worked a silver, lacey, armour-esque dress, which was a nod to Jone of Arc. So seeing the actress bedazzling the crowd in 2023, no wonder fans got super excited.
However, Zendaya isn’t the only one wearing this dress. One could say that she isn’t wearing this outfit at all. That is because this is the same dress that Rita Ora wore at this year’s fashion event. That’s right folks, this is another case of a photoshopped red carpet image, but it does look convincing, didn’t it? Not everyone on the internet was happy about this though since the actress skipped last year’s event, and there were hopes for her to return this year.
As of writing, Zendaya has yet to arrive at the Met Gala red carpet. There was speculation that she will return to this year’s event but only time will tell if that’s the case. The Euphoria star has wowed the crowd in the past and people are keen to see what she’ll do next with this year’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”.
