Latest Marvel News: Jonathan Majors confirmed to have changed future MCU plans as Charlize Theron outs the Multiverse Saga’s big problem

The 'Fast X' star may have said too much.

The Kang the Conqueror conundrum continues to perplex the Marvel fandom, but Jonathan Majors has already altered the flow of the MCU’s Sacred Timeline off the screen as well as on. Meanwhile, with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 behind us, the next threequel that is destined to be described as singlehandedly saving the franchise is already on its way. Last but not least, one of the biggest names in the MCU with the shortest amount of screentime makes a Marvel error abundantly obvious.

Jonathan Majors has already altered Marvel’s plans for the Multiverse Saga, but not how you think

The question of what Marvel is going to do with Jonathan Majors — amid the Kang the Conqueror actor’s assault allegations — is hanging over the studio right now, so it’s surprising to hear that the Multiverse Saga’s big bad has already changed the course of the franchise… only in the exact opposite way from what you would expect. It’s come to light that Kang wasn’t supposed to be such a dominating force in Phases Five and Six until execs were blown away by his performances in both Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and decided to build the entire thing around him. Fast-forward to now, however, and that change of pace is exactly why it’s going to be so hard to write him out.

Charlize Theron having no idea when we’ll see her next as Doctor Strange 2‘s Clea says it all, really

When asked about how imminent her return as Clea in the MCU is, Charlize Theron replied, “I haven’t gotten a call. Is that bad?” Well, no, probably not to a gainfully employed Hollywood legend like you, Charlize, but to Marvel fans this is eye-rolling news. The fact that the sorceress was dropped into the fray in Doctor Strange 2 over a year ago and Marvel has yet to make any headway in bringing her back only highlights how the MCU is really just flinging characters at the wall at this stage without a clea(r) plan for how they’re actually going to fit into the franchise – a practice that’s only contributing to the criticism around the MCU’s current lack of focus.

The wait for more Wade Wilson is at an end as Deadpool 3 finally starts shooting

To lighten up for a moment, in a much more encouraging update, Deadpool 3 at long last officially started its shoot today as production began in London following a bevy of exciting recent casting notices. So all that’s left for us to do now is to sit back and let the set photos roll in, revealing our first glimpses at Ryan Reynolds back in the red and black as the Merc with the Mouth and, even more thrillingly (sorry, Ry), Hugh Jackman unsheathing his Adamantium claws once more as Wolverine. OK, so I may gripe, but now really is a wonderful time to be a fan of all things Marvel.

Watch out as more of the latest Marvel news updates — like Theron’s Fast X co-star Michelle Rodriguez throwing some serious shade on the MCU — will come our way, fast and (Nick) furiously, very soon.
