Not getting any action scenes with Arnold Schwarzenegger gave ‘FUBAR’ star FOMO

Now Netflix really needs to give 'FUBAR' another season.

It’s hard luck being in a television show with the ultimate action star Arnold Schwarzenegger, yet not getting the opportunity to kick some butt by his side. That was the experience of FUBAR star Aparna Brielle, who plays the Netflix show’s dark horse NSA analyst Tina.

Speaking to ScreenRant, Brielle confessed to experiencing some FOMO while on set for the action comedy. Her scene partner Milan Carter, with which Tina eventually becomes romantically involved, got to do some stunts with Schwarzenegger, while Brielle would be on desk duty.

“I did have major FOMO! I would show up to go work in the office, and I’d see Milan hanging off a rig with Arnold outside. I’d be like, ‘Oh, hey, you want your coffee?’ He’s up there with his coffee. And I’m like, ‘Cool, that’s going to be me soon.'”

One to look at the glass as being half full, Brielle does appreciate that she had the opportunity to learn from everyone else before jumping into the action herself, as well as have more time to develop Tina’s fighting style.

“I feel like I got to spend so much time watching everyone. I’m already thinking about the future, and it gives me more time to develop things like the fact that maybe she fights a little differently than everyone. Maybe she moves a little differently than everyone when you see the real her, whoever that is. So, I had FOMO, but it also bought me time to play a little bit.”

The upside is that, judging by the final twists in the first season, the future looks bright and action-packed for Brielle should there be a season two. With Netflix’s track record for cancelations, you can never be too optimistic, but we still hope the A.P. Bio actress gets her wish.

Season one of FUBAR is now streaming on Netflix. Read our review of the show here.
