Latest Marvel News: ‘Deadpool 3’s X-Men explosion has Ryan Reynolds under pressure as ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ star admits the inevitable

Meanwhile, M.O.D.O.K. has the last laugh.

Honestly, we were happy enough with Hugh Jackman coming back as Wolverine, but the latest word has it that a whole bunch of other X-Men universe veterans are returning for Deadpool 3… and it’s making Marvel fans greedy. Meanwhile, speaking of upcoming MCU projects that are folding old favorites into the franchise, Daredevil: Born Again‘s Vincent D’Onofrio has some comments about the revival series that aren’t exactly what fans want to hear, but they’re not really surprising.

Marvel has to be careful when promising its fans a multiverse of cameo madness in one of its projects, as we found out in Doctor Strange 2, so it’s no surprise that the increasing casting rumors around Deadpool 3 are leaving Ryan Reynolds with a to-do list that’s bigger than Colossus. After Halle Berry already teased more from Storm, reports say Famke Janssen and James Marsden could be back as Jean Grey and Cyclops as well. Which is great, of course, but by positioning the threequel as both a last hurrah for the Fox-verse and the X-Men’s entry into the MCU, Reynolds is giving himself a high bar to clear when it comes to fan expectations.

Daredevil: Born Again star warns fans that the Disney Plus series won’t be exactly what they’re asking for

Daredevil: Born Again might be being viewed as a continuation of the beloved Netflix show, but Vincent D’Onofrio has now confirmed that is 100 percent not the case, and you know we should always listen to what the Kingpin has to say. “It’s definitely a new show,” the Wilson Fisk actor admitted, which only confirms what we suspected after Netflix characters were either replaced or removed from the show. On a more uplifting note, at least D’Onofrio also promised that he won’t be wearing that Hawaiian shirt he donned in his Hawkeye cameo for the series. So thank the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen for small mercies.

M.O.D.O.K. gets the last laugh as he’s compared to the greatest villain in sci-fi cinema history

Somehow, M.O.D.O.K. has returned. And what’s more – he’s somehow managed to get himself compared to one of the most legendary cinematic villains ever created. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania may have been as notorious as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and yet the idea has been floated — sarcastically, we’re all praying — that the bulbous-headed bad guy is Marvel’s own answer to Darth Vader. And, all right, if you think about it, there are a surprising amount of similarities between them – although we never saw Anakin Skywalker’s naked rear-end in a Star Wars movie, did we?

The worst possible contingency plan for Marvel Studios to keep going through the Hollywood Writers’ Strike is just one of the many MCU news updates that routinely come our way, so stay tuned for more.
