Oscar Isaac graciously takes time to snap a selfie with a fan, even though it interrupted his FaceTime with Pedro Pascal

Name a more iconic duo. I'll wait.

The delightful friendship between Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac is once again seizing fan attention, this time thanks to a charming fan selfie.

Even though their popular Star Wars characters never managed to meet, Pascal and Isaac have been close for years. They’ve even worked on a project or two together, with 2019’s Triple Frontier providing fans of both actors with a rare chance to see the longtime friends on screen together. Isaac also pitched Pascal as a fitting addition to the Spider-Verse franchise, stating in an interview that his longtime buddy might be a great fit for the next entry in the award-winning film series. He encouraged Beyond the Spider-Verse to find a role for Pascal, noting that “he should be a Spider-Person,” and joking that Pascal would be most suited to a “cranky, old Spider-Person.”

Seeing the pair come together for yet another film role would make plenty of fan dreams come true, but even outside of their professional lives, it seems the duo keep in close contact. This was recently exemplified via a quick, endearing selfie Isaac snapped with a fan while he was in the midst of a FaceTime call with Pascal. The image in question, which promptly went viral online, sees Isaac posing alongside a delighted fan as Pascal, seemingly chatting from his car, smirks down at the camera.

Isaac and Pascal’s status as the internet’s best besties immediately became the talk of the town, as fans of both actors gushed over their adorable connection. Jealousy also runs rampant among web users, as they consider the bad luck that would allow anyone but them to stumble into this iconic moment.

It feels a little unfair that a random fan would be fortunate enough to stumble on not one, but two of the web’s most popular celebrities at the same time, but the resulting image is just sweet enough to stop the envy from completely taking over. Plus, considering how close the actors are, there might be plenty more selfie opportunities of a similar nature in our future. We can always dream.
