Netflix clearly has way too much money to burn if it can pay Arnold Schwarzenegger to hide in the bushes

He's having fun, but Schwarzenegger's free time surely doesn't come cheap.

A-list movie stars should never take themselves too seriously, and rarely has that been the case for Arnold Schwarzenegger, with the legendary action hero famed for his self-deprecating approach and willingness to poke fun at his own reputation.

Having recently been welcomed into the Netflix family with all-conquering series FUBAR, the Austrian Oak has been everywhere you look recently, whether he’s being awkwardly composited into a video with Chris Hemsworth or drumming up buzz for the incoming TUDUM event, where a second season is almost certain to be announced.

Schwarzenegger definitely doesn’t come cheap, though, which makes you wonder how much cash Netflix has forked over to not just secure the former California governor for an eight-episode series – which marks his first-ever small screen leading role – but to involve him in all sorts of extracurricular shenanigans.

The latest, which was posted to the company’s official social media accounts, finds Arnold disguising himself as some shrubbery for the sole purpose of pranking his FUBAR co-stars during an interview. Sure, it’s pretty funny, but you’ve got to wonder if it’s the best use of the living legend’s time.

That being said, Schwarzenegger loves to have fun at both his and others’ expense, so maybe it was his idea. On the other side of the coin, asking a 75 year-old man to go undercover as a plant for the sake of a gag isn’t something that would instantly jump out as the best use of his time, so hopefully he’s being well-compensated for his efforts.
