Latest Marvel News: Tom Holland can’t wait to be replaced as Spider-Man while ‘Captain America 4’ tramples on the toes of James Gunn’s Batman reboot

Elsewhere, Chris Hemsworth comes clean about his 'Thor: Love and Thunder' thoughts.

The MCU has managed to claw back the Marvel fandom’s attentions away from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse thanks to an unexpected update regarding Anthony Mackie’s much-anticipated return as the second Sentinel of Liberty in Captain America 4, which has just gotten itself something of a face-lift. Meanwhile, Tom Holland‘s latest Spider-Man 4 comments are simultaneously heartening and heart-breaking while Chris Hemsworth shares his real opinions on Thor: Love and Thunder.

Captain America gets a brave new title but nobody’s happy about it — James Gunn possibly included

It’s been called New World Order for the past year, but Captain America 4 has now officially been revamped to become Brave New World. Despite having a rich literary history that reaches back to Shakespeare, that’s apparently not enough to make it a worthwhile title for some folks as it’s earning a lot of hate online. Those who like to fuel the ol’ Marvel vs. DC debate may also want to note how the MCU is pinching the “brave” branding from James Gunn’s The Brave and the Bold Batman reboot, which likely just found its director.

Tom Holland would jump at the chance to bring Miles Morales to live-action, even if it would hasten the end of his Spidey tenure

We’re banking on Tom Holland returning for Spider-Man 4, even if the actor is remaining frustratingly vague on the subject, but his latest comments on the future of the webhead on the big screen is another instance of him leaving us in a confused emotional state. On the one hand, Holland saying he’d “jump” at the chance to help usher Miles Morales into live-action is pretty exciting. On the other, it might be worrying that he can’t wait to see his destined replacement swing in to take his place. Just a casual reminder, Tom, that your agent might prefer it if you stuck with Marvel a while longer.

Even Chris Hemsworth thinks Thor: Love and Thunder and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania could’ve been a whole lot better

He’s stayed mum on the topic for the past 12 months, but now Chris Hemsworth has admitted his thoughts on the ever-derided Thor: Love and Thunder, coming clean that he thinks it definitely got “too silly,” even though the Australian hunk stresses that he had a great time making it. Likewise, the Odinson actor had similar things to say about Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, stressing that he believes that one could’ve benefited from being more “grounded,” which is putting it lightly. Honestly, it sounds like Hemsworth’s got the right instincts. Maybe he should just direct Thor 5 himself?
