The award-winning series debuted on the streaming platform in 2021 and follows the lives of various employees and guests as unexpected events occur within a week at the titular resort that. In the show, Fahy (who appeared in the second season) portrayed the role of Daphne Sullivan, a stay-at-home mom and wife to businessman Cameron Sullivan (Theo James).

In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, the 33-year-old revealed she wasn’t provided a script when she auditioned for the character. But it doesn’t stop there. Fahy also claimed that in addition to not being given a script, she was instructed to do two scenes without any context. Further into the conversation, Fahy disclosed that after she landed the part of Daphne Sullivan, she and other cast mates were handed a full script, which she admitted she read from “front to back.” While describing how “cool” it was to read the script, Fahy said:

“It was a little bit tricky because when I auditioned, I didn’t have any of the scripts. I only had two scenes and I didn’t really have context per se for like what had happened or what was going to happen. Of course after I got the role, they gave us all the scripts. I sat and read all of them from front to back in one sitting and I was like, ‘holy s***.’ It was like a cool read.”

When asked what parts Fahy found the most intriguing and surprising after reading the entire script, the Ms. Sloane star shared that she was shocked when she found out that Jennifer Coolidge’s character Tanya McQuoid-Hunt tragically died in a freak accident in the second season after taking down the professional hitmen that was hired by her husband Greg Hunt (Jon Gries) to kill her.

Another moment that Fahy found incredibly memorable was the altercation between the fictional characters Ethan Spiller (Will Sharpe) and Cameron Sullivan (Theo James).

“There’s the obvious [Jennifer ] Coolidge being the one that gets taken out. Just the last thing you think is going to happen. I just remember even thinking the fight between Ethan and Cameron was sort of unexpected and very exciting. I remember my first sort of thought was like, ‘wow this is a lot more sort of action forward I think than season one.’ In a way that was I thought pretty exciting.”

Towards the end of her musings about the show, the actress continued to list more scenes she thought were captivating. It would include Fahd’s character discovering McQuoid-Hunt’s body, shooting that particular scene, and sharing a moment with Aubrey Plaza.

Both seasons of The White Lotus are streaming now on Max.
