The newest Netflix series to roll off the murder mystery production line deceives the Top 10 in 40 nations

Same genre, different winner.

Netflix loves murder mysteries so much that it even convinced Adam Sandler to make only the second sequel of his career by crafting a follow-up to his movie that was literally titled Murder Mystery, so there are no shocks to be found in Delete immediately setting up shop as one of the streamer’s biggest shows.

Per FlixPatrol, the Thai potboiler has deceived the Top 10 in 40 countries around the world to establish itself as the sixth most-watched episodic title on the entire platform, proving for the umpteenth time that even the promise of the genre is enough to convince subscribers everywhere it needs to be added to their queues and binged as soon as possible.

The story follows an extramarital affair unfolding between protagonists Aim and Lily, both of whom are trapped in unhappy relationships with their respective partners. Thanks to a mysterious camera phone that can make people disappear – which falls into the latter’s possession – the adulterous duo decide the best way to make use of their new supernatural gizmo is to get rid of their partners once and for all to start a new life together free from having to hide in the shadows.

If you can believe it, though, things aren’t quite as simple as that, with the ramifications stretching far beyond the seemingly-simple notion of pushing a button, making a person vanish into the ether of nothingness, and then carrying on as if they never existed in the first place. It’s a strong setup, and evidently one that’s got enough in the tank to hook viewers from the very start.
