What songs did Usher sing at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Did the R&B icon deliver an all-time Super Bowl performance?

2023 was a huge year for Usher, who’s been stunning old and new fans at his Las Vegas residency. Now, after delivering a stunning Super Bowl Halftime show, 2024 may well be his best year yet. With a career spanning three decades, as well as multiple number hits, Usher proved to be the perfect artist for the job.

The artist also boasts multi-platinum albums, as well as a wide variety of genres under his belt. From smooth R&B to pop and a successful dance-music phase, Usher’s commercial appeal could hardly ever be up for debate. With his ninth album, Coming Home, set for release on Feb. 11), here’s the setlist he chose to summarize a glittering career

“Caught Up”

While “Caught Up” missed the Hot 100’s peak, it has remained a favorite for Usher to perform, and for good reason. The classic single features R&B and dance elements and kicked off a stellar show.

“U Don’t Have to Call”

Usher then jumped into his 2002 hit “U Don’t Have to Call”. This banger was written by Pharrell Williams and boasts classic production from The Neptunes.

“Superstar”

A slightly deeper cut followed from the 2004 album Confessions. This low-key number was never released as a single, though provided some laid-back vibes.

“Love in this Club”

2008 chart-topper “Love in this Club” followed. This was a global hit for Usher, making it into the top ten in multiple countries. It also boasts a killer video featuring a bunch of cameos.

“If I Ain’t Get You”

Alicia Keys joined Usher on stage for “If I Ain’t Got You”, which is generally considered one of the greatest duets of the 21st century. Naturally, the pair nailed it live.

“My Boo”

Usher and Keys shot to the top of the charts in 2004 with their gorgeous single, “My Boo.” 80s and 90s kids everywhere were singing along all around the world.

“Confessions Part II”

“Confessions Part II” remains one of Usher’s most adored tracks of all time and had the crowd in full swing with the stadium singing the chart-topper from the top of their lungs. 

“Nice & Slow”

Usher’s introduction to mainstream success was his sophomore album My Way. The album housed many successful singles An ode to his early beginnings, “Nice & Slow” evoked some serious nostalgia from the fans.

“Burn”

Another cast iron smash-hit. 2004’s “Burn” took over the world, topping the charts in multiple countries and contributing to Usher’s record-breaking nineteen weeks at the top of the Billboast Hot 100.

“Bad Girl”

Another album track from “Confessions”, this track has slowly gained in popularity over the years. Should it have been released as a single? Probably, but we’re happy it now has a firm spot in Usher’s setlist.

“U Got It Bad”

This chart-topping single from Usher’s third album, 8701 needed to make an appearance in this show. This, along with “U Remind Me” are staples in his iconic discography, and have been a constant in the singer’s live performances.

“OMG”

Nobody could deny the chokehold Usher’s EDM era had on mainstream listeners. With smash hits like “OMG” in his discography, the crowd was on fire. An epic banger.

“Turn Down for What”

Lil Jon arrived on stage towards the end of the set to wild applause to perform “Turn Down for What”, his 2013 megahit. And, if you haven’t seen the awesome video in a while, we urge you to watch it. There’s a reason it went viral.

“Yeah!”

In the showstopping finale, Usher, Ludacris, will.i.am and Lil Jon closed out the show with the iconic single, “Yeah!” You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who wouldn’t want to sing along to this evergreen club staple. Furthermore, the highly successful track began Usher’s consecutive number-one run in the 2000s, making it a career-defining hit.
