Pre-Order WWE ’13 And Get Ice Cream Bars

In a somewhat odd, yet fitting announcement, THQ has detailed yet another retailer exclusive bonus for those that pre-order the upcoming wrestling game WWE '13. Those that pre-order WWE '13 in the US at GameStop or at EB Games in Canada will receive an exclusive code to unlock a CM Punk ice cream t-shirt in-game attire. Why an ice cream shirt might you ask? Well, these frozen ice cream treats were actually very popular in the WWE back in the 1980's and 1990's and THQ thought it would be a good idea to incorporate such a cool concept from the past into their upcoming video game.

In a somewhat odd, yet fitting announcement, THQ has detailed yet another retailer exclusive bonus for those that pre-order the upcoming wrestling game WWE ’13.

Those that pre-order WWE ’13 in the US at GameStop or at EB Games in Canada will receive an exclusive code to unlock a CM Punk ice cream t-shirt in-game attire. Why an ice cream shirt might you ask? Well, these frozen ice cream treats were actually very popular in the WWE back in the 1980’s and 1990’s and THQ thought it would be a good idea to incorporate such a cool concept from the past into their upcoming video game.

CM Punk himself told the WWE Universe back in 2011 that he wished he could have his face imprinted on all WWE merchandise, including ice cream treats. So it’s only natural for THQ to take that to the next level by allowing you to play as CM Punk with an ice cream shirt, right?

It might not be the most memorable bonus content, but it’s better than no bonus content at all. I wonder what other retailers plan on jumping on the pre-order bandwagon before the title officially drops? We still have Target and a few other big chains that have yet to announce any exclusive content for the latest and most realistic wrestling game to date.

WWE ’13 comes out on October 30th, 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. Pre-order your copy today!
