Looks like one of Canada’s most popular athletes just got a little bit more recognition. Georges St-Pierre announced via his Facebook page this morning that he is now working with Coca-Cola as part of the NOS Energy Drink division.
“I am honored to join the Coca-Cola family and to be given the opportunity to work on the development of amazing new products with the NOS team!!!”
Although St-Pierre has been inactive in mixed martial arts for over a year due to a knee injury that required surgery, he has remained in the spotlight due to his multiple appearances in TV commercials and print ads stemming from his sponsorship deals with Gatorade and Under Armour.
The French-Canadian fighter is undoubtedly one of the most well-liked athletes in North America and, if the sponsorship deals are any indication, likely one of the wealthiest athletes in Canada.
The announcement of the NOS sponsorship comes on the eve of his upcoming return to the UFC’s octagon at UFC 154 on November 17th as he defends his 170-pound championship against interim title holder Carlos Condit.
Though he has not yet confirmed the details of the deal, you can rest assured that NOS will figure prominently on either his walkout attire or his sponsorship banner come fight night.
As always, keep it locked on WGTC for all UFC and MMA news, reviews, and discussion.
