Capcom announced today at Tokyo Game Show 2012 that the highly anticipated Monster Hunter 4 will launch in March of next year for the 3DS in Japan.

The company made the announcement during a live on-stage demonstration of the title’s online multiplayer with the game’s developers who were back at their Osaka studio.

Monster Hunter 4 has not been announced for a Western release, and considering that its launch date coincides with the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the 3DS and Wii U (which is sadly local multiplayer only on the 3DS) in North America and Europe, I would not hold my breath for it.

You can check out Monster Hunter 4‘s TGS 2012 trailer below, but fair warning, it will likely only make the game’s Japan-only release date that much more painful for Western fans.
