Some new photos from the upcoming film Hitchcock have been released, featuring Anthony Hopkins in the title role as the legendary director and Helen Mirren as his wife and partner Alma Reville. Based on Stephen Rebello’s non-fiction book Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, the film’s official plot synopsis is is a bit vague, but still intriguing (especially for fans of the 1960 horror classic):

In addition to Anthony Hopkins as Hitch and Mirren as his wife Alma, Scarlett Johansson will play actress Janet Leigh, James D’Arcy will play actor Anthony Perkins, Jessica Biel will play actress Vera Miles,  Ralph Macchio will play screenwriter Joseph Stefano, and Michael Stuhlbarg is cast as famed producer Lew Wasserman.

Other cast members include Danny Huston, Tony Collette, Michael Wincott, Richard Portnow and Kurtwood Smith. Directed by Sacha Gervasi (Anvil: The Story of Anvil), Hitchcock opens November 23rd.
