‘Don’t leave me!’: Meghan Markle’s mother moves out of Montecito mansion after getting sick of her daughter’s ‘constant moaning’

Meghan's mother has had enough of the Sussex drama.

It seems as though Meghan Markle may have been abandoned by her mother Doria Ragland who opted to leave the Duchess and her husband’s Montecito mansion despite Meghan begging her not to leave.

According to an exclusive report from RadarOnline, Meghan begged Ragland, 68, shouting “don’t leave me!” as her mother departed from their home this week. The choice to leave reportedly came after the Duchess “used” her mother to care for her kids. Sources also told the outlet that Ragland has also had enough of the “constant moaning and drama” after living with the Sussexes for a year-and-a-half.

Doria has had enough of Meghan and Harry

Ragland moved in with her daughter and her son-in-law in early 2024 with the objective of helping the couple work through a difficult patch in their professional and personal lives. She provided a strong presence for the Sussexes and stepped in to help raise the couple’s two children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.

While the arrangement worked out for a while it seems the relationship between mother and daughter has now deteriorated to the point where Ragland evidently feels she has to leave the couple’s home.

She returned to her own residence in Los Angeles which left Meghan and Harry “bereft” and “struggling to cope” without her according to sources close to the family.

“Doria was a steady support for Harry and Meghan during a tough time. She provided them with much-needed emotional strength…. But she has her own life and social circle, and she was getting sick of her own daughter’s constant moaning and dramas.”

The insider went on to say that “Meghan is deeply upset about her mother leaving – she even pleaded, ‘Don’t leave me’ as she walked out the door with her suitcases.” Her absence won’t just upset Meghan, but it will likely weigh heavy on Harry too as he also viewed her as a mother figure according to the insider.

It’s a tough time for the Sussexes

Ragland’s departure comes during a particularly rocky period for Harry and Meghan. While the Prince seeks reconciliation with his family in the U.K. at any cost, Meghan is continuing to promote her brand.

But the Sussexes haven’t had much luck with their business ventures since moving to the U.S. and it looks like they may be fast approaching their breaking point. Couple this with the ever-intense scrutiny of their relationship and every move and it’s no wonder they felt the need to lean on Ragland for emotional support as much as they did.

But now they are on their own once again. Meghan’s relationship with her father is non-existent and Harry is still working on his family (at the moment he can’t even get a call back from his father). Now they’ve lost the one parental figure they still had, this does not bode well for them.
