Duties and life take a step back as Princess Kate tells William ‘she can’t carry on like this’

She just beat cancer, she's tired.

Princess Kate is reportedly looking to cut back heavily on her busy schedule and put her cancer recovery first, something she has reportedly talked about with Prince William. She wants to focus on her children and use the summer to rest and recharge.

An insider said to Closer, “For William and Kate, the children come before work commitments, so if Kate isn’t feeling her best and the children aren’t coming first, that’s when plans are reassessed. This summer will be about Kate spending quality time with the children while recharging her batteries. She’s told Wills she can’t carry on like this with a hectic work and home life schedule, so he’s agreed it needs to be scaled back.”

The Princess of Wales has made it clear that the way things are now, between juggling heavy work duties, family life, and her cancer treatment, is just too much to handle long-term. Her goal is to spend meaningful time with her three kids and recover over the summer, with plans to rethink her schedule for the next year instead of going down another rough road.

Princess Kate is putting her family first

Even though her health is the main priority right now, the Princess is still expected to go to the important Balmoral meeting in August. This major Royal Family gathering will cover key topics about the future of the monarchy, including talks about arrangements for the King’s funeral. But behind the scenes, there are worries that the Princess might be pushing herself too hard, leading to discussions about whether she can keep up with her planned duties.

For Prince William and Princess Kate, their children’s happiness and needs come first, before any work responsibilities. When the Princess isn’t feeling well and the kids need her, their plans change to fit that. This summer is all about letting Princess Kate be with her children and regain her strength. Prince William has agreed that she needs to slow down and reduce her packed schedule of work and home life.

Time away from the public eye is seen as vital for the Royal Family. The Wales family plans to take trips abroad, including visiting friends in Spain, as well as spending a lot of time with the Middletons at home. The Middleton family’s close support is considered a big help for the Princess during this time. These breaks are important to make sure she’s ready for her future duties. People working behind the scenes understand that when she does return fully to her royal role, she needs to be in the best possible health.

The Balmoral meeting will cover a lot of ground. Big topics will include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as well as what roles Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet might have in the future. The future of the Wales children will also be a major talking point. Princess Kate’s own place in the Royal Family will be discussed, along with the changing roles of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. The meeting is meant to set a clear plan for where the monarchy is headed next.
