Owner of ‘Trump Burger’ facing deportation: The irony? His shop says ‘Trump was right about everything’

The Donald Trump–supporting restaurant chain Trump Burger just had an unexpected shake-up in its management structure when US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested the restaurant’s co-owner and began the process of lining him up for deportation.

Roland Beainy, 28, came to the United States from Lebanon in 2019. His expired visa reportedly was for non-immigrant visitors. Beainy ended up overstaying his visa, and during his stay, he’s suspected of having participated in immigration fraud, with some reports even alleging that he was part of a sham marriage.

Newsweek reports that, owing to fears that Trump might be favoring supporters and their employees who backed his campaign, ICE had to make it extra clear that they’re not intending to show any special consideration to Beainy for all the Trump support he displayed during that campaign. An ICE spokesperson responded to the situation, saying, “Despite false claims to the contrary, Roland Mehrez Beainy does not have any immigration benefits that prevented his arrest or removal from the United States.”

Beainy’s woes with immigration are only half of his problems. His co-founder, Bart Blakelock, has filed a lawsuit against Beainy for misrepresenting his immigration status. The lawsuit will add another layer of complexity to Beainy’s life. The Lebanese-born chef is now waiting for a judge to rule on whether or not he should be deported back to his home country.

ICE alleges that Beainy’s immigration papers are suspected to have gone from valid to fraudulent when he presented a woman to immigration claiming she was his lawfully wedded wife. However, upon further investigation, there was no documentation to be found that proved Beainy was actually married to the woman.

Their fast food restaurant, Trump Burger, started its franchise in Houston, Texas, with the banner “Trump was right about everything.” The menu items are as ridiculous as you can imagine, with some meals called “Melania Crispy Chicken” or “Trump Tower Burger.” The Trump family has vehemently been trying to separate itself from this business and has sent cease-and-desist letters to the chain, yet they have still not gotten the result they wanted. The Trumps have alleged that Beainy is trying to mislead the public. Trump Burger consistently gets horrific reviews online, so while that would fit right in with most other Trump products, you can’t blame the Trumps for wanting one less bad product associated with their family name.

Beainy will have his day in court, and he will get to plead his case — lest Trump finally gets his way and successfully gets rid of habeas corpus. And if this does end the institution of burgers, that is Trump Burger — at least the Trump family can finally shift their focus onto their actual licensed products, like a perfume called Victory that apparently “smells like confidence.”

Ultimately, this has been the case with most Trump supporters — they were sold into a world where they were promised they would experience nothing but winning, only to end up regretting even participating in MAGA in the first place. ICE released a statement assuring that, under this administration, “political beliefs” won’t save you.
