‘God tier trolling’: Gavin Newsom’s office takes down Laura Loomer in utterly brutal put-down

Whoever’s running Gavin Newsom‘s official press office account isn’t taking any prisoners. In a refreshing change for decorum-obsessed Democrats, Newsome and his staff have been let off the leash lately, aggressively mocking and poking fun at their MAGA opponents.

Sure, it isn’t big and it isn’t clever. But boy, it’s satisfying. Recent hits have been openly (and accurately!) calling Trump chief ghoul Stephen Miller a fascist, describing Pete Hegseth as “WEAK, NO BRAINS, NO TALENT, ZERO FUTURE!” and describing Trump’s U.N. speech as an “abomination”.

But their most cutting post of late is just a single word. Failed Batman villain and Trump whisperer Laura Loomer is apparently ill with a respiratory infection that “seems to only be getting worse”. Newsom’s team’s response?

This is a reference to Loomer’s notorious antivax wailings. She’s dubbed the COVID vaccine the “death jab”, boasted of her refusal to get a COVID vaccine, and generally pushed inane conspiracy theories on the subject.

The perfect response

As such, tossing back a pointed “vaxxed?” at her should get under her skin, particularly if she’s contracted COVID once again. Loomer isn’t exactly the most popular person online, so the replies are bathing in this sweet catharsis:

To be fair, Newsom’s Press Office is far from the only account roasting her. Highlights are an admission that “I finally enjoyed reading something you wrote“, “Tomorrow’s headline, respiratory infection dies from Laura Loomer infection.“, and “rooting for the respiratory infection.

Joking aside, it’s is all too possible that the unvaxxed Loomer has indeed come down with COVID. The virus doesn’t dominate headlines like it used to, but there’s been a wave of the highly transmissible XFG (“Stratus”) variant infections sweeping the country throughout September.

If Loomer is infected and unvaxxed, then she may be seriously knocked out by the virus for quite a while. Many reading this will know the sheer misery of having a bad case of COVID, which leaves you unable to do much else other than lie in bed, groan miserably, and curse the unwitting person who infected you.

I guess we should hope Loomer recovers, but after years of bleating about how terrible the COVID vaccine is, sympathy will be in short supply if she really has come down with it.
