Texas woman being stalked forced to chase pursuers away with used sanitary pad while singing Lady Gaga

A woman on TikTok filmed the insane method she was forced to use to stop multiple men from following her. While she was able to successfully deter her stalkers in a way viewers have deemed “iconic,” the lengths she had to go to just to be able to get home in peace are concerning.

Unfortunately, women being harassed by creeps in public is a rather common occurrence. According to NSVRC.org, 81% of women have experienced some form of harassment in their lifetime. A woman by the name of Finni Haynes on TikTok found herself being followed by multiple men while walking by herself in the dark.

Thankfully she was able to think fast and come up with a strategy to instantly deter the men from trying anything. The method you may ask? Pulling out her used sanitary pad and some pepper spray and waving them around at the men, all the while belting out “Disease” by Lady Gaga. Finni then pulled out her phone to record the situation and explain, all the while a couple of the men lurked nearby.

TikTok takes note

It turns out acting psychotic when being stalked is a very valid way of getting whoever’s stalking you to stop. It’s a method that’s been employed by women before and to great effect I might add. Commenters praised Finni for her unorthodox methods, “Disease by Lady Gaga was diabolical,” wrote one. Another viewer added, “1. stain pad with red food colouring and keep in handbag – check.” Hey if it works it works. 

Others added to it, taking it further, “I would smear my period on my face like war paint,” claimed a particularly unhinged viewer. Finni went along with the bit, even changing her profile pic to a cartoon character holding a used pad and some pepper spray.

Finni even theorizes that all the men were in on it together in which case it’s scary to think what their intentions could have possibly been, although she does mention the possibility of abduction. In a second video she shared some helpful tips other women could use to ward off men, most of which consist of acting crazy or unhinged in order to make sure the man fully gets the hint.

But all joking aside, the fact that this is what she had to resort to is pretty concerning. “People making too many jokes this is sad,” wrote one person, adding that “the fact she had to pull out her pad that she [was] using just so men wouldn’t follow her.”
