A woman took to TikTok to share a terrifying revelation after finding a tracking device hidden on her car. Upon discovering the device she believed she was being stalked by some creep, which is a reasonable conclusion, however, the true source of the device was actually her own family.
The mystery begins when a woman named Dina received a notification on her phone while driving that warned her that an air tag was recorded moving with her. This quickly led her to suspect that the tracking device had been hidden somewhere on her car. She asked the people of TikTok, “What do I do?” As she suspected that she was being stalked by an unknown individual.
Advice ranged from trying to connect her phone to the device in hopes it would make a sound to going straight to the police. Stalking is a serious threat and many women have shared their terrifying experiences on TikTok of being followed by creeps with malicious intentions.
Who placed the tracking device?
In a second video she told viewers that she had decided to drive straight to the police station to get their help. Unfortunately the police weren’t much more help than the commenters on TikTok with the lady working the front desk recommending that Dina take her car to the dealership to have them find the device and remove it.
The woman also asked if a passenger had maybe dropped the air tag in her car by mistake but Dina claimed she hadn’t had anyone in her car except her and her parents.
In a third and final (so far) update on the stalking situation Dina wasted no time in telling her viewers that she had gotten to the bottom of the mystery. “It was my parents. My parents put a tracking device in my car.” That’s right, it turns out her own mother and father had been stalking her for the past few days.
That’s some pretty toxic parenting
They came clean over the phone and the answer may have come as a slight relief as it meant Dina wasn’t being stalked by some creep, but it did raise some concerning questions about her own parents. “Do I know why they did it? No,” she explains, adding, “Am I done with them? Yes.”
It seems her own family has driven their daughter away with their peculiar toxic shenanigans. In the future they’ll probably wonder why she went no contact if she hasn’t decided to already.
Dina seems somewhat disappointed but not surprised by the revelation which suggests this isn’t out of the ordinary for her parents, but it seems she’s not going to elaborate on the situation as she claims she doesn’t care why her parents did it. To be fair, there’s no excuse for what they did, stalking your own child is just plain weird.
