Victoria was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and Kimberlea Coughley, the actor’s second wife. Law enforcement sources informed TMZ that the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a call from the Fairmont San Francisco, which was reported as a medical emergency, at 2:52AM on Thursday morning. Paramedics arrived at the hotel shortly after, however, it was unfortunately too late for Victoria, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The scene was quickly turned over to the San Francisco Police Department and the Medical Examiner’s Office for investigation but according to an article from the Daily Mail, there were no signs of foul play.

What happened?

At the moment, details surrounding the death of Jones are sparse. However, reports indicate that there was no sign of trauma to the body. Police also didn’t find any evidence of drug paraphernalia at the scene and there was also no evidence to suggest that Victoria Jones may have taken her own life.

A source informed the Daily Mail that Jones’ body was discovered on the 14th floor of the hotel by other guests. Initially they believed her to be drunk and informed staff of the situation, however, upon investigation, staff quickly realized that the situation was much more serious than they first thought.

Upon realizing she was unresponsive the staff attempted to revive her with CPR while the emergency services were called. Right now it’s unclear what Jones was doing on the 14th floor or whether she was even a guest at the hotel in the first place. A spokesperson for the San Francisco Police Department has urged anyone with information regarding her death to come forward and contact the police.

Victoria Jones was a beloved daughter

Being the daughter of a Hollywood star like Tommy Lee Jones naturally led Victoria to follow in her father’s footsteps. She made her acting debut in a small role alongside her father in Men in Black II back in 2002. From there she took a few small acting roles in TV shows such as One Tree Hill. She also took a role in the film, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada which was directed by her father.

Her acting career did not last long however, and Victoria seemed content to support her father instead, occasionally accompanying him to red carpet events. “She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish,” Tommy Lee Jones said of his daughter at the time.

Victoria Jones is survived by her father, Tommy Lee Jones, her mother, Kimberly Cloughley, and her brother Austin.
