Brooklyn Beckham cuts off David and Victoria, demands all contact go through lawyers

Brooklyn has no interest in reconciliation.

Brooklyn Beckham’s feud with the rest of his family reportedly has just now gotten worse than it’s ever been. From now on, Sir David and Victoria can only reach Brooklyn through legal means.

It took a long time before things got to this issue, which can only be described as irreconcilable. There have been multiple unconfirmed reports about why Brooklyn no longer wants any ties with his family. One of them being an allegation that Victoria and Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, are not seeing eye to eye. This is all just speculation.

But the latest report of Brooklyn, 26, drawing stern boundaries between his family and his marriage is actually caused by similar speculation. According to Page Six, Brooklyn grew weary of reports that Peltz is holding him “hostage” and that he was being “controlled” by his wife’s billionaire family — Peltz’s father, Nelson, just so happens to have a seat on the boards of major companies like Disney.

The two parties (Brooklyn and David) communicated last holiday through lawyers, and Brooklyn made it clear that he doesn’t want his parents to ever speak of him again. Now you can imagine how the internet took that particular aspect of the story. To most people, what this meant was indecipherable. Does this mean if David is asked about Brooklyn by an interviewer on the red carpet and he answers, he might get sued by his son? We’ll have to wait and see.

Brooklyn has been extremely hostile toward his family lately. So whatever the inciting incident was — however it was intentioned — Brooklyn must have taken the resulting conflict to heart. He has seldom spoken about his family, with the sole exception being when Brooklyn congratulated David for his knighthood by the King of England.

Things went back to being hostile almost immediately, however. Brooklyn’s brother Cruz last month revealed on Instagram that Brooklyn had blocked him and their two parents. Cruz wrote in his story, refuting claims that they had cut off Brooklyn, saying, “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”

To end the year off, David had posted a carousel of his proud moments of the year on Instagram. He heavily featured his family, his growth as the president of Inter Miami, which proudly has Lionel Messi on their roster — but none of the photos included Brooklyn. David then posted an additional photo of himself and Brooklyn when they were both younger. The former soccer star reiterated that he loves all his kids.

It’s always sad when you see a family have a public spat. It’s one feud that really never has any winners. But if Brooklyn truly wants to separate himself from his family, then all the world can do is accept his decisions. Even after months of speculation and digging — his mind is seemingly made up.

Reportedly, Brooklyn has been telling the press that he has no interest in reuniting with the other Beckhams. The social media chef is now focused on just living a “drama-free” life.
