MAGA calls for Stephen Colbert to be canceled immediately after ‘The Late Show’ host claims it’s ‘unfair’ to compare ICE to Nazis

MAGA didn't like Stephen Colbert's joke, but aren't they supposed to be all for free speech?

Stephen Colbert has already had his show canceled but he’s still got a while left until his final episode. However, MAGA wants to see his show pulled immediately after he made a joke comparing ICE agents and border patrol to Nazis.

Over the last few months the reputation of ICE has really gone down hill. The federal agency has done itself no favors with agents seemingly being given free reign to do as they please, take whoever they want, and enter any private space regardless of if they have a warrant or not. Tensions are particularly high in Minnesota, where federal officers have killed innocents, kidnapped children, and attacked protesters.

Despite all the wrong ICE is doing, Trump’s cult of followers main issue is with people comparing them to Nazis. Gregory Bovino, whose whole wardrobe looks like that of a Gestapo, took to CNN to complain about it and as you’d expect, Stephen Colbert had a sharp response for the border patrol officer on his Late Show, saying, “Do not compare ICE or Border Patrol agents to the Nazis. That’s an unfair comparison. The Nazis were willing to show their faces.”

The clip is quickly going viral online and is yet another one to add to the collection of Stephen Colbert burns against the Trump administration. But as you’d expect, the right, and MAGA in particular, took issue with the host’s comments once again proving that they are snowflakes who can’t handle mean words.

Calls for Stephen Colbert to be canceled

As previously mentioned, Colbert’s show is already on the chopping block with the final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert scheduled to air on May 21st this year. Regardless, the MAGA nuts have called for his show to be axed “IMMEDIATELY” because apparently free speech only applies to offensive jokes the right makes.

There has already been much speculation that Colbert’s show was canceled due to his frequent criticisms of President Donald Trump. CBS and its parent company, Paramount, made the decision not to continue the show back in July of last year, stating the choice was “purely a financial,” as per PEOPLE.

However, many don’t buy that story, especially when Trump has called for other late show hosts, like Jimmy Kimmel, to be canceled. His demands even led to Kimmel temporarily being taken off air for a brief period, so it’s not too far-fetched to believe the same happened to Colbert.

Whatever the case, we’ve got Colbert on our screens until May at the very least. Hopefully he continues to prod and poke the MAGA bear as much as possible in the short time he has remaining.
