Turning Point USA PR chief says she was fired for ‘questioning’ Kirk murder and Candace Owens is listening

She says the official narrative doesn't add up.

Former Turning Point USA PR manager Aubrey Laitsch alleges she was fired from the organization for “questioning the narrative of Charlie Kirk‘s murder.” According to Turning Point USA, she was fired for saying negative things about the company to an Uber driver. Candace Owens, who has also suggested a conspiracy in the Kirk assassination, shared Laitsch’s post.

Laitsch, who worked for Turning Point USA (TPUSA) for four years, outlined her allegations in a nearly 12-minute video. As well as the “questioned narrative” and Uber driver allegations, Laitsch says company culture changed when Kirk stepped back from day-to-day operations into a more traditional role as a CEO. After Kirk was killed in September 205, she says, “It’s just been go, go, go for almost the past six months with no extra compensation, no breaks.”

According to Laitsch, she worked under the TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet, and says she was let go amid overall staff cuts at the conservative nonprofit. But as she relates in the video, she also attended a meeting with Kolvet TPUSA Chief Marketing Officer Marina Minas.

The Uber driver allegations

Kovlet and Minas told her in the meeting that an Uber driver alleged a TPUSA employee named “Aubrey” badmouthed the organization during a ride, alleging TPUSA employees don’t like the new CEO, Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow. Laitsch, however, has a different theory. She said,

Turning Point has not insinuated this. They never told me anything like this. However, I just have a gut feeling that I was terminated from Turning Point because I am questioning the narrative of what happened to my role model and CEO Charlie Kirk on the day of his assassination.”

She provided no further information about how she questioned the “narrative,” but said she was speaking out in the best interest of TPUSA employees who were still there. Laitsch captioned her video in part,

“I’m not here to be bitter. I’m here to be honest. This video is the beginning of me telling the truth, as much as I legally can I’m speaking up because I know I’m not the only one who’s felt this way and our First Amendment right matters, too.”

She added in the post, “I just refuse to stand by, watch my peers be unfairly treated, and watch leadership attempt to take over something that was Charlie through and through. And something that he poured his heart, soul, and mind into building and creating and maintaining.”

Owens shared the post

Conservative podcaster and influencer Candace Owens, who has questioned many aspects of the Kirk killing with little evidence, including allegations of broader conspiracies within TPUSA, shared Laitsch’s post, captioned in part, “One of the fired employees from Turning Point USA speaks out about the organization’s new direction!”

Echoing Owens’ own statements, Laitsch said in her post, “What is being told to us in the mainstream media just really doesn’t add up to me, and I’m really hopeful that one day it will. I have a lot of concerns and a lot of questions about what took place that day and the events leading up to that day.”

She added, “It is from my own experience that you can’t question the narrative and work at Turning Point. That is how I feel. That is how other people I’ve talked to feel. It goes against everything that Charlie ever stood for.”
