The people of TikTok are enamored with a woman’s husband after he showed himself to be a huge green flag. In the video, the woman suggests taking up a “boring” hobby to see how the husband reacted. He proceeded to fully support her and even start planning it without ever once questioning her decision.
Annalisa suggested to her husband that she might start birdwatching as a hobby. Her intention was to find something boring just to see how her husband would respond, but he’s either the most supportive husband in the world or secretly super passionate about bird-watching as he seems quite excited about the prospect.
The husband arguably does everything right, asking his wife questions about birdwatching and seriously listening to her without judging or mocking. When she mentions buying a book on birds he tells her he already has one to her surprise. She then asks him if they could do it together to which the husband begins making plans to get a “spawning scope” and actually going out and doing it.
Arguably one of the sweetest moments in the heartwarming clip is when Annalisa suggests taking a sketchbook so they can draw the birds to which the husband responds, “I’m not a good drawer so I’ll just describe it to you.” The video may have started out as a cute little prank but it seems Annalisa and her husband might have to genuinely take up birdwatching now.
TikTok wants to protect this man at all costs
In a world full of red flags, this man is fluorescent green. In the comments viewers gushed over his charming yet innocent demeanour. It was quickly decided by viewers that Annalisa would have to commit to the birdwatching hobby due to her husband’s apparent excitement with one commenter writing, “You gotta get him a spawning scope babe!!” Another added, “I think you accidentally stumbled upon one of his special interests that you never knew about.”
Thankfully the couple did get to go birdwatching and it looks like they’ve found a new hobby that they never expected to enjoy so much. A video posted by Annalisa a couple of days later showed her and her husband looking out for birds in Craig Regional Park. While they may not have all the fancy birdwatching tools, they’ve made a start, using a birdwatching app to track all the birds they saw.
“I hope this very much becomes a thing for you two now,” one viewer wrote, to which Annalisa responded, “We’re already planning our next place to go.” What started as a prank has since evolved into a hobby both partners genuinely enjoy. Turns out birdwatching isn’t so boring after all.
