‘Reacher’ star Alan Ritchson pulverizes his neighbor and the secret provocation that triggered it is splitting the public

New information has surfaced revealing that Reacher star Alan Ritchson did not actually instigate the widely circulated fight with his Tennessee neighbor. This new perspective is certainly shaking up the public’s initial reactions to the dramatic video.

Sources close to the actor indicate that the incident unfolded on Sunday afternoon in Brentwood, TN, while Ritchson was riding his motorcycle. Per TMZ, He was ahead of his two kids, who were on their mini-bikes, when a neighbor, Ronnie Taylor, allegedly “bolted into the street” in an “aggressive” manner to try and stop Ritchson’s bike.

This aggressive move caused Ritchson to crash, sending him flying off his motorcycle. He sustained cuts and bruises from the fall, along with a minor injury to his finger. While Ritchson was still on the ground, Ronnie reportedly dared him to hit him, yelling all the while. However, Ritchson apparently didn’t take the bait. He tried to de-escalate the situation by getting back on his bike and attempting to leave.

Unfortunately, the situation didn’t end there. As Ritchson tried to depart, Ronnie allegedly shoved him to the ground a second time. It was at this point that Ritchson responded with the beatdown that was caught on camera. 

The video, published by TMZ, dramatically shows Ritchson overpowering Ronnie on the street before he eventually got back on his bike and left with his kids. It’s a pretty intense watch, and it’s easy to see why it caused such a stir initially.

Ronnie Taylor, the neighbor, offered his side of the story, claiming that Ritchson had been riding his motorcycle through the neighborhood at excessive speeds for two days straight. He stated that he finally confronted Ritchson about these “dangerous motorcycle habits” on Sunday, which he says sparked the violent altercation.

However, sources close to Ritchson are firm, stating that Ronnie “initiated and instigated” the entire event. It’s a classic he-said, she-said, but the details about the prior provocations certainly paint a different picture than what many initially assumed from just the video. 

We’re told that Ritchson has been fully cooperative with the police regarding the incident. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the confrontation.

Ritchson, who began his acting career in CW’s Smallville has recently been part of Amazon Prime’s hit series, Reacher. The series performed so well that it was immediately picked up for a second, and well, now a third season. The dedicated actor has been very outspoken about mental health issues in the past, especially his BPD diagnosis. Before this altercation with his neighbor, his only real scandal of note was when he made some very firm comments about President Trump. It may have upset his right-wing fans, but it didn’t keep him down.
