‘It made me sick’: Mother signs away her rights for $50. Then she starts crowdfunding to stalk her kids

There are some wild stories on TikTok.

Some stories shared on TikTok seem too wild to be true, but out there somewhere is someone who swears it really happened to them. Take this story for example, a mother who signed away the rights to her children for a messy 50 bucks only to try and worm her way back into their lives several years later.

The 30+ minute long story was shared to TikTok and despite its length viewers were hooked by the twists and turns of the apparently true story. The story is told by A.I. voiceover with the unnamed narrator giving a rundown of everything that happened to him and his brother Louis.

According to the narrator, his mother was an incompetent and abusive parent, constantly drinking and neglecting her two children. They recount how they were even kicked out at the age of 12 after they bought themselves a new shirt. While wandering the streets the young boy happened to cross paths with a social worker who brought them back home and later returned with police to take the narrator and Louis to a foster home.

The foster parents ended up adopting both children although their relationship with the narrator was rather icy. Getting the kids’ mother to sign away her parenting rights was as easy as offering her $50 and just like that, the two children were free of their abusive mother. Or so they thought.

The mother returns

Five years go by and the narrator returns home one evening to find his mother sitting in the foster parent’s home, Louis had let her in. It turned out she had spent months manipulating the younger brother into believing that she had changed. She claimed that she wanted a relationship with her kids again but in reality she was looking to extort the family for money.

The following days and weeks saw the mother embed herself in the family with Louis believing every word. Things boiled over at a Soccer match when the angry mother attacked the narrator after he gave her the harsh truth, “I told her she’d never change, that she was the same selfish, hammered, who’d chosen beer over her own children.” The mother’s attack was seen by everyone, including Louis, and suddenly the control she had over her youngest son was lost.

Things didn’t end there

Despite outing herself as still being a terrible mother the woman went on to launch a campaign of harassment and stalking against her two children and their foster parents. It turned out she had used crowdfunding to help her continuously stalk her victims. There were cameras set up, she avoided them. A restraining order was sent, she ignored it. Everything the family tried was unsuccessful.

However, one night the family woke to the sound of breaking glass, the mother had thrown a rock through their window. The good news was that she’d been caught on camera doing it. Shortly afterwards she was arrested with both of her children ultimately testifying against her in court. She was sentenced to three years in prison while the narrator and his family were finally able to move on with their lives.

The story is wild and at times a little unbelievable but things like this have been known to happen. Either way, people on TikTok were fully on board, “no way i watched 33 mins thought it was 3 min,” one viewer wrote, “bro i FEASTED on this story,” another added.
