Marjorie Taylor Greene now believes Trump has an ‘Antichrist spirit’

Maybe you could have realized this before you made him president?

The rest of the world must be absolutely baffled by why American Evangelical Christians support Donald Trump with every molecule of their being. They claim to be committed and sincere Christians, yet they worship an atheist who seems to go out of his way to actively mock the teachings of Jesus Christ.

On the surface, it simply doesn’t make sense: it’d be like ISIS unveiling a flamboyant drag queen as their new leader. Unfortunately, if you simply realize that the beliefs of most American evangelicals are wholly incompatible with the gospel and they actually worship some perverted and heretical faux-Christianity, their Trump support makes sense.

Even so, occasionally the wool is pulled from their eyes, and they’re backed into a corner. Last night, fresh from beefing with the Pope, Trump posted an AI-generated image of him as Christ, together with a looming winged demonic figure in the background.

Former ally turned adversary Marjorie Taylor Greene didn’t mince words when calling him out, saying this insult to Christ goes beyond mere blasphemy:

“It’s more than blasphemy. It’s an Antichrist spirit.”

Woah! That’s a big accusation you’re throwing around there, Marjorie. Look, we all know Trump is bad, but surely he’s not the literal Antichrist?

Antichrist Superstar

Let’s do some Biblical digging. Revelation 13 says that the Antichrist will rule with “authority over nations”, demand worship, and be held up as a prophet by his supporters. Okay, well, that could apply to anyone!

Let’s move on. Thessalonians 2:3-12 describes the Antichrist as someone who poses and exalts himself above every god, proclaims himself to be God, is lawless, promises false wonders, and practices constant deception. Agh. Okay, fine, that does sound a bit like Trump.

Let’s read on a bit more. Okay, so apparently one of the key indicators of the Antichrist is that he’ll suffer a miraculously healed head wound.

“One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast.”

Hold up.

Trump did get shot in the ear, a wound which quickly and miraculously healed with absolutely no scarring or deformity. And his supporters did immediately say this was proof he enjoys divine protection…

Sheesh, it’s not looking good for Trump. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised there’s a lost passage of the Bible underlining that the Antichrist will be an alarming shade of orange, with a black mark on their hand, and that he had a side business hawking dodgy steaks.

Maybe this really is some crazy coincidence, and it’s just blind chance that Donald Trump seems very much to be the Antichrist the Bible describes. And hey, is this Antichrist really that bad? What is he even supposed to do, anyway?

Oh, he’s going to usher in seven years of unprecedented global tribulation and chaos that will violently and brutally reshape the planet and threaten civilization. Yeah, to be honest, that kinda tracks too with it being Trump. If there’s a silver lining, it’s that we’ll get to see Trump vs Jesus engaged in a crazy fantasy battle that will conclude with Christ thoroughly dunking on Trump. So that’s something to look forward to!

Also, expect some very embarrassed American Christians struggling to justify why they were all in on the exact guy God specifically warned them about.
