The husband of missing Oakland woman Amy Hillyard says the family is still searching for answers after she seemingly vanished without a trace, describing the ordeal as ongoing and deeply painful in recent remarks reported by KRON4 News.
Hillyard, a well-known figure in the Bay Area and co-owner of the popular Farley’s Coffee shops, disappeared on March 25, 2026, under circumstances authorities have described as unusual. According to her husband, Chris Hillyard, the day she vanished began normally. The couple had breakfast together before he dropped her off at a Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station so she could attend a therapy appointment in nearby Walnut Creek. At around 1:40 p.m., she sent him a text message stating she had returned home.
