The book, Entitled, written by Andrew Lownie, claims that (former) Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson maintained a long-term, secret relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, an individual currently serving time for transportation for prostitution. The Telegraph reported that the pair engaged in a friends-with-benefits arrangement that spanned several years.
The claims are part of an updated paperback edition of the author’s bestselling book, which focuses on the history of the House of York. According to the text, the two met in 2002 at a party in New York hosted by Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for child sex trafficking, was the on-off girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein. It is well-documented that Ferguson counted Epstein as a friend.
The allegations in the book are quite specific. An associate of Combs told the author that the relationship began in 2004 and continued for several years. However, a source close to the Duchess of York has strongly refuted these claims, describing them as “absolute fabricated nonsense, blatantly untrue and yet another false allegation from him.”
Lownie not only defended his research, but his book also has details
The book claims that in 2006, Combs launched a perfume called Unforgivable, a product that he supposedly claimed was inspired by Ferguson and her personal preferences regarding how a man should smell.
Lownie also details that the pair would frequently meet in luxury hotels across Europe and Africa. One particular source mentioned in the book stated, “They’d meet in luxurious hotels … They once stayed at a seven-star hotel that was over £50,000 a night. They spared no expense.”
The book also alleges that Ferguson introduced her daughters to Combs on multiple occasions, including a yacht party weekend in 2006 when Princess Eugenie was 16 years old. One royal staff member reportedly told the author, “Sean’s parties were wild. The fact that she brought Eugenie around was alarming.”
When asked about the pushback, Lownie stood firm. According to The Times, the author stated, “I stand by it, it’s fully sourced with former employees of P Diddy and Sarah Ferguson.” He pointed out that Ferguson was previously shown to have lied about her contact with Epstein.
Lownie referred to an email that surfaced last September. In it, she referred to Epstein as her “supreme friend” and apologized for criticizing him, despite having previously claimed she would have nothing to do with him. In further correspondence, she also asked him for a job.
The book also delves into other controversial claims regarding the House of York. It alleges that Prince Andrew was deeply disliked by his colleagues during his time in the Royal Navy. In one instance, a submariner reportedly took a pair of leather flying gloves that the former duke had left behind into a bathroom and “did something unspeakable and then returned the glove.” The book notes that this act boosted the morale of the submarine crew.
Another anecdote in the book claims that Andrew kicked a Labrador in the head after it stole a sausage roll at a Sandringham shooting weekend. When a guest confronted him, saying, “That is the most disgusting thing that you have just done to your beautiful dog … You should be ashamed of yourself!”, Andrew allegedly replied, “Piss off. It is none of your business and I will do precisely what I want to MY dogs.”
Lownie’s book further asserts that members of the royal family were aware of Ferguson’s activities for years but chose to ignore them to avoid scandal. One royal source quoted in the text claimed that Queen Elizabeth “repeatedly trashed Fergie” behind the scenes. The book claims that several senior royals were aware of her associations but turned a blind eye to protect the family.
Now, of course, Phillip has been trapped in his own downward spiral over his connections with Epstein. As a result, Ferguson is reportedly finally cutting ties with her ex-husband. As for her supposed friend-with-benefits, Combs continues to serve his prison sentence.
Last year, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison and a $500,000 fine after his conviction. Additionally, he had previously settled a sexual assault and abuse lawsuit brought by his former partner, Cassie Ventura.
The author’s work, which also contains an extract noting that a former employee at Bad Boy Records claimed Combs was obsessed with the royal family. Per the book, he once said, “he could not wait until Fergie’s daughters come of age.” That, as well as all the other details, continues to draw significant attention to the book for its portrayal of the House of York.
