‘GTA 6’ releases in November. So, a couple signed a contract limiting interruptions during the game

No distractions!

Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19, 2026, and many players are already planning how they will spend their time exploring the State of Leonida once the game is out. According to Sportskeeda, one couple from the UK has taken things a step further by agreeing to a humorous contract meant to limit interruptions during the playthrough.

The report states that the couple appears to have designed the contract as a light-hearted way to set some ground rules for the game’s launch period. Based on the price mentioned in the document, Sportskeeda suggested that the couple is likely from the UK.

The contract, as described in the report, includes five points along with the game’s logo at the top and a space for both parties to sign. The details are intended to be humorous rather than serious.

Details of the contract shared on Reddit

According to Sportskeeda, a Redditor going by the username u/dontfwithme99 posted a picture on June 30, 2026, showing himself and his girlfriend holding the signed contract paper. The document apparently carried the game’s logo at the top, followed by the five listed points. The post has now been deleted.

Per the report, the first point of the contract reads: “From November 19th, 2026, to November 29th, 2026, I can play Grand Theft Auto VI as much as I want.” This appears to grant the player unlimited playtime during the game’s opening days.

The second point states: “Walking in front of the TV or monitor while a mission, cutscene, heist, or online session is in progress is strictly forbidden and will result in consequences.” The rule seemingly focuses on keeping the screen clear during important moments in the game.

The third point lists phrases the partner is asked to avoid. It reads: “If I fail a mission, get wasted, or get busted, DO NOT SAY: It’s just a game, You can do it later, Haven’t you been playing long enough?” This point apparently addresses what the other person should not say when things go wrong in the game. The couple’s approach is one of several unusual fan reactions, with some players even acting out GTA scenes in real life.

The fourth point, per the report, covers everyday interactions. It states: “All hugs, kisses, conversations, errands, and ‘Can you help me with this really quick?’ requests must wait until I have completed my current mission or reached a safe house.” This means the player would apparently only be available for chores or other tasks after finishing a mission or reaching a safehouse.

The fifth and final point offers a way out of some of the rules. It reportedly reads: “If you purchased the game for me or contributed at least £40 towards the game, you may eliminate ONE stipulation from Rules 2-4.” This suggests that a partner who paid at least £40 toward the game could remove one of the earlier points.

The standard edition of the game will retail for £69.99 in the UK and $79.99 in the US, while the Ultimate Edition, which includes additional vehicles and weapons, will cost £89.99 and $99.99, respectively. The high demand has also led to other spending stories, including reports of a man spending $54,000 on pre-orders. The title is currently available for pre-orders.

Players who have already pre-ordered GTA 6 will be able to pre-load the game starting November 12, 2026. PlayStation and Xbox consoles will allow pre-loading at 12 AM local time on that day.
