McDonald’s worker refuses to serve customer over drink complaints: ‘Get out of my drive-thru’

Sometimes it can just be too much

A McDonald’s employee refused to serve a customer at the drive-thru after saying staff had grown tired of repeated complaints about his drink. The exchange ended with the employee telling the customer to visit another location and informing him he would no longer be served at the restaurant.

According to a TikTok video shared by @weepingangel_afk, the confrontation began as the employee handed the customer a custom beverage through the drive-thru window before telling him the restaurant would no longer serve him. The customer repeatedly questioned the decision, asking why he was being turned away.

According to the employee, the decision followed repeated complaints about the customer’s drink, saying staff had reached a point where they no longer believed they could satisfy him. The confrontation follows another McDonald’s dispute in which an employee also refused service after repeated run-ins with a customer.

The employee said repeated complaints led to the decision

After informing the customer he would no longer be served, the employee told him, “Get out of my drive-thru.” The customer repeatedly questioned the decision, asking why he was being refused service.

The employee said the decision wasn’t based on a single visit but on what she described as repeated complaints about the way his drink was prepared. “Because every single time we make your drink, it is wrong,” she said, adding, “Obviously we cannot satisfy you the first time and we’re done trying.”

The customer responded, “Okay. Alright,” after the employee instructed him to leave the drive-thru.

In the comments, much of the discussion supported the employee’s decision. “She is absolutely right and fair response,” one commenter wrote in a reply that received more than 246,000 likes.

Others said the video reflected the challenges faced by fast-food employees dealing with demanding customers. “Why do people love making minimum wage workers jobs harder,” another viewer wrote. One commenter also acknowledged that the video only captured part of the interaction, writing, “I don’t know the backstory but I feel like she is right.”

Like another recent viral McDonald’s dispute in which a manager shut down a customer arguing over ordering just before closing, this incident also ended with an employee refusing service. Although the video doesn’t show the earlier encounters the employee referenced, she said the decision was based on more than a single attempt to fulfill his demands.
