A mother in Sacramento, California, has called out Olive Garden staff after she claims they cleared her table and threw away the food she paid for while she took her kids to the bathroom. The frustrated mother said she had to re-order everything after the inconvenient mishap despite her apparently making it obvious before going to the bathroom that she wasn’t leaving the restaurant.
TikToker, “Arami M” took to the platform to share her story where she explained that she took herself and her two children to Olive Garden to grab a bite to eat. After the food she ordered was brought to the table, Arami decided to take her kids to the bathroom.
While she claims she told one of the Olive Garden waitresses that she wasn’t leaving the restaurant and that she was only taking her children to the bathroom, when she returned to her table, the food they had paid for was allegedly gone. “Our table’s like, cleared out,” she claims, “So I’m just like, ‘what the hell, did we walk, like, back to the right place?’”
Arami claimed the Olive Garden staff had taken away her food
According to Arami, the staff in Olive Garden had cleared her table and thrown the food away. While she doesn’t say how long she was in the bathroom, she already claimed that she informed a waitress of where she would be. She also said she had left her bags at the table, “Why would you think we left if I left my bag there?” she asked.
After returning from the bathroom, she claimed that the waiters were “walking by like they didn’t see me.” When she asked another waitress what had happened to their food, they apparently told her they didn’t know before going to get their manager. The manager allegedly told Arami that they had cleared the food away as they thought she and her children had left before telling her that her bag was “at the front.”
“We literally came here to eat,” a frustrated Arami told her followers. Arami’s story may well be another case of poor customer service, although it’s worth noting that we do not have all the facts that would help to form a more informed opinion on the matter.
Regardless, the mother and her hungry children were apparently left with no other choice but to re-order the same items that they had already ordered which Arami described as “an uncomfortable situation.” She doesn’t clarify whether she was made to pay for the food a second time.
