Woman orders a $54 family steak meal from Texas Roadhouse and opens the box. She’s mad nobody told her about this sooner: ‘if you know, you know’

A woman says she fed her whole family a steak dinner for $54 using a family meal deal from Texas Roadhouse, and showed the entire unboxing in a TikTok video that has drawn over 716,800 views and more than 64,400 likes.

The video was posted by a creator who goes by Kat (@kat.mom.life). In the clip, she stacks several takeout containers on her kitchen counter, with the Texas Roadhouse logo and on-screen text reading “$54 STEAK FAMILY MEAL DEAL” shown clearly.

“I’m going to feed my family an entire steak dinner for $54. Let me show you everything I got,” she says at the start of the video.

Kat explains that “Texas Roadhouse has family deals and they’re so good,” before unpacking the order item by item. She first pulls out a large foil pan of Caesar salad topped with croutons and shredded cheese, along with a separate container of dressing, which she describes as “a whole container of dressing.”

She then shows the two side dishes included in the deal. The family chose corn, served in two small white cups, and fries, packed into a black plastic container. “We chose the corn. It’s so good,” she says. This family meal deal is part of a broader trend of savvy diners finding value, such as when a woman revealed a Texas Roadhouse hack to eat free twice a week. 

For the main protein, Kat says the deal offers different options, and her family picked steak. She opens the container to reveal four steaks. “So there’s four pieces in here. You’ll see two 8-ounce steaks. And then 2 6-ounce steaks. This is delicious,” she says. Texas Roadhouse’s free rolls and peanuts are just the start of the surprises, as a pregnant Kentucky woman was furious she didn’t know sooner about a $4.99 item. 

The order also came with a dozen rolls in a branded Texas Roadhouse box, along with cinnamon butter. Kat tears one of the rolls in half to show how soft it is and says, “Each order comes with a dozen rolls. Their rolls are so good.” She also displays two bags of Texas Roadhouse peanuts, saying, “And then if you know, you know, Texas Roadhouse peanuts.”

Kat adds that her family liked the rolls so much, especially for breakfast, that she bought an extra box of them separately. She ends the video by summing up the meal and asking viewers, “Let me know what you’re having for dinner tonight.”

The video has drawn a range of reactions in the comments section, with many viewers weighing in on the price and the food itself. One commenter wrote, “this is a steal!!” while another said, “cheaper to make at home.” Some viewers focused on the cinnamon butter shown in the video.
