‘McChoked & McDragged’: When man doesn’t get his McDonald’s, he tries to get behind the counter. So an employee shows him the cost of that

Social media often catches people at their worst. A recent video posted to TikTok by Mike (mikestayfive) has gone viral with over 1.2 million views. The footage shows a confrontation inside a McDonald’s that quickly escalated from a heated argument into a physical encounter. The clip starts midway through the interaction, and the TikToker offers no explanation, so we don’t have the context or details for the events that led up to the confrontation.

In the video, Mike stands at the counter filming a manager and an employee. The manager appears to be calm and on a phone call with authorities. Mike, on the other hand, is angry. He can be heard yelling, “Bro, this n***a’s not trying to get my food bro.” He curses at the employees and threatens to beat them up. When he makes a move to jump over the counter, the manager says, “Now he’s jumping on the counter. Now he’s coming over the counter at me.”

The situation takes a sharp turn when Mike attempts to enter through an employee-only door. The employee, who looks to be significantly larger than Mike, bursts through the door and immediately seems to put him in a hold. The employee quietly tells Mike, “Get the f**k out of our store,” as he forcibly marches Mike from the premises, eventually throwing him to the ground outside. 

Mike’s bravado immediately dies in the face of the greater force

According to the video, Mike immediately begins to complain in a choked voice. Despite the aggressive behavior Mike displayed just moments earlier, says, “I didn’t even do s**t, bro. I did nuffin.” The employee remains strikingly calm throughout the entire process. At the end, it seems like he says, “Don’t come back to our store. Who are you to come behind our counter, yeah?”

Mike later captioned the video saying, “he don’t get paid enough to chock me🫩 I didn’t get do like the Burger King guy tho.” He has insisted the incident wasn’t a prank, specifically distancing himself from the style of content created by LawrenceFinesso. Even after a YouTube video questioned whether it was a staged stunt, Mike maintained his stance, though he has provided no further details on why the confrontation started in the first place.

The comment section was flooded with reactions, with one TikToker quipping, “He got McChoked & McDragged.” Other users were quick to criticize Mike. One person wrote, “Why did you post yourself getting tossed out tho.” Another added, “all that talking and got punked by the fry guy.” 

Some viewers pointed out the irony of his tough talk. One user noted, “I thought you would beat they ass??” Another said, “MAAANNNN ALL THAT TALKIN just to get SNATCHED and dragged out the store. ‘I didn’t do nuffin’ sent me over the top.” One observer offered a more philosophical take, commenting, “just because we’re quiet doesn’t mean we’re afraid, we simply show restraint. it’s called self control.”

This incident lands right in the middle of a broader, ongoing conversation about the rise of harassing content filmed on social media. According to the NY Post, there has been a massive surge in creators using Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses to film people without their knowledge. Of course, some people don’t like getting filmed overtly either, which led to a McDonald’s employee having a meltdown. 

These devices have been used to record everything from pickup attempts to aggressive pranks on service workers. As a result, some have dubbed them “pervert glasses.” The trend has become so problematic that Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri reportedly took a firm stance. 

“If you’re posting content that is taking advantage of people and harassing them, like a lot of these pickup line kind of videos that we’ve heard of and seen, then we’re going to take the content down,” he stated on his Instagram stories. “We don’t want people to be surreptitiously taking videos of other people and harassing them and then posting them on our platform.”

The NY Post reported that Meta released these smart glasses last fall. While they’ve been promoted by celebrities, they’ve also faced intense backlash for being dystopian. Recently, a Redditor took to the platform to express privacy concerns when he noticed a pharmacist wearing Meta glasses. Critics are particularly worried about future updates that could include facial recognition or emotional monitoring.
