She sits on another man’s lap at Beverly Hills steakhouse after hearing Arabic being spoken. Then the hair-pulling begins at the high-end night out

It started as a quiet evening.

A night out at a Beverly Hills steakhouse turned into a chaotic fight after two women said an interaction with men at a nearby table took an unexpected turn. The women told TMZ that the evening began peacefully, but the situation escalated after one of them started chatting with the men , and they allegedly offered to pick up her check.

One of them said she began talking with them after she heard them speaking Arabic. That’s when they said a third woman they didn’t know came over to the table and sat down on one of the men’s laps.

The women said the situation changed when the men were ready to leave. One man asked them to have the woman get off his friend’s lap, and they said they passed along a message.

Women involved describe the moment the physical fight began

They claimed the other woman then approached from behind and began swinging and pulling hair. This led to punches being thrown in response. The two women denied that the other woman had been attacked by a group and said police briefly placed her in handcuffs but later released her.

A video of the confrontation inside the restaurant, obtained by TMZ, has circulated widely. The footage showed two of the women locked in a wrestling match in the middle of the dining room. They were pulling each other’s hair, throwing punches and kicks, and exchanging insults as other diners looked on. One spectator could be heard saying, “Oh my God, I love this.”

The women were dressed formally as the fight moved across the restaurant floor. At one point, one woman appeared to be bleeding from her head while a staff member tried to guide her outside. Such confrontations between staff and patrons can escalate quickly, as when a server confronted a woman with her coworkers’ receipt at a high-end Houston restaurant, leaving her mortified.

Another employee attempted to step in, only to have a hand slapped away as the disturbance continued. A diner was heard saying, “I wasn’t expecting this when I came here.”

Steak 48 describes itself as an upscale fine-dining restaurant that offers handcrafted cuisine and an elevated atmosphere. The menu includes items such as a $295 bone-in Wagyu tomahawk and a $135 bone-in ribeye.

The women involved said they wish the other woman well. They added that they do not expect this group to dine together again anytime soon. Such tensions over dining experiences are not isolated, as seen when black women were allegedly told no pictures at a famous Dallas restaurant while watching other women do exactly that.
