Pennsylvania woman poses as Dave & Buster’s security guard to scold a young boy for misbehaving. Now, the boy’s mother wants to find her

A Pennsylvania woman sparked a discussion on TikTok after she allegedly pretended to be a Dave & Buster’s security guard. She then scolded a young boy for misbehaving. The boy’s mother shared footage of the encounter and explained in a comment how she wanted to find the woman so they could remain friends.

TikTok creator Jessquarter0142 (@Jessquarter0142) shared the encounter in a post featuring the text overlay, “When your kids are fighting and someone pretends to be the security guard.” In her comment, the creator clarified the boy is her son. In the post, the woman appears to address the boy after noticing him misbehaving. She tells him that she works at the establishment and warns him that continued bad behavior could get him removed.

“I’m not gonna hurt you. But what I’m telling you is I work here, and I will put you out. Do you understand me?” the woman says.

The woman said she knew where the boy and his family were staying.

She continues by telling the boy that if she finds out he is doing something wrong, “it’s gonna be a problem,” and that he will be removed from Dave & Buster’s. She also tells him she knows what hotel he is staying at and says his family can contact her. “Let them call me, and I’m coming. Do you understand me?” she says.

The exchange eventually takes a softer turn. The woman asks the boy if he wants her to have his family call her, then tells him to “Be good.” She also asks, “You want a hug?”

When the boy declines, she accepts the answer and tells him to have his family call her because they have her number. There is no way to prove that ghe interaction is genuine or staged, but the video did prompt discussion in the comments about whether the woman crossed a line by pretending to have authority as a security guard and intervening in someone else’s family matter.

Jessquarter0142 offered additional context in a comment, explaining that the woman had been walking behind the family when she saw one of her sons kick the other. According to the creator, the woman tapped her on the shoulder and told her that her son was misbehaving.

The creator said the interaction ultimately turned into a friendship during their visit. She described the woman as “the security guard” in the playful exchange and said she wanted to find her so they could “be friends forever.”

One commenter supporting the approach noted, “For all the parents that have a problem with this. Y’all are the problem. It takes a village.” TikTok is filled with separate accounts of how much parents need help. One creator recently shared she called Child Protective Services on herself.
