‘Gonna have a surprise later’: Pittsburgh woman tries to warn driver after seeing snake slither inside their vehicle in Crunch Fitness parking lot

A woman who claimed to have noticed a snake slithering inside someone’s car outside Crunch Fitness tried to warn the driver on TikTok. The woman says she tried to stop the reptilian menace from getting inside, but the snake eluded her grasp, leaving her with little choice but to hope that her video reached the right person.

TikToker Desarae said she was leaving Crunch Fitness in Pittsburgh when she noticed a snake slithering outside a car in the parking lot. She then claimed that the snake climbed “up” into the car. She said that she and another man tried their best to stop the cold-blooded animal from getting inside, but they were unsuccessful, and Desarae ended the video by warning the driver, “You’re gonna have a surprise later.”

It’s unclear whether the snake was venomous or not, but Desarae wanted to ensure that the innocent driver would be alright. She showed the car, telling viewers it was a blue Honda Accord, although for obvious reasons she did not show the license plate. She also said she went back into Crunch Fitness to tell staff, hoping they would tell any patrons at the gym about the situation. 

Aside from that, there was little Desarae could do, as the owner was nowhere to be seen. Viewers commended the TikToker for sharing her warning to the platform, telling her, “You probably saved the owners life.” Even if the snake wasn’t venomous, the distraction could cause the driver to crash, so Desarae’s warning was certainly needed.

Other commenters joked, writing, “this is exactly why I dont go to the gym. this right here.” Another shared a similar sentiment: “There are no snakes in my country. But to be safe I’ll avoid all gyms. Can’t be too careful!”

An update on the snake situation

Viewers were obviously concerned with the welfare of the driver and begged Desarae for updates on the situation. The TikToker said she didn’t have much in the way of an update as she couldn’t stick around. However, she decided her best bet for warning the driver was to leave a note on the driver’s window, warning them that they had seen the snake climb into their car.

While the update was somewhat disappointing, there was one more surprise in store, as it turned out the Accord driver would make themselves known in the comments. 

A TikTok user by the name of “lyssss:)” commented on Desarae’s post, writing, “HI THIS IS MY CAR I DROVE IT AROUND ALL DAY OMFGFFFFF.” The Accord driver claimed they actually saw the videos before going to their car, proving that viral TikToks can be an effective way of communicating with strangers quickly.

They also shared a photo of the note that had been left on her car, warning them about the snake, seemingly proving that this was indeed the driver and that Desarae’s warning had worked, quite possibly saving their life.
