Activision has announced that Microsoft’s exclusive window for Call of Duty: Black Ops II downloadable content will be up later this month, which will allow for the Revolution map pack to launch on the PlayStation Network on February 28th. A price point for the DLC was not mentioned, however, the publisher’s community manager Dan Amrich noted that it will likely “be in line with previous packs” — in other works, $14.99.

For spending your hard earned digital credits, the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Revolution add-on provides players with the first gun DLC in the franchise (the new Peacekeeper SMG) and the following four multiplayer maps:

  • Hydro–This large map allows you to use the dam and water to your advantage to block paths and stop enemies.
  • Downhill–A medium-sized map based in the French Alps complete with snow, chair lifts, and a strategically placed lodge.
  • Grind–Set within the locale of the Venice, California boardwalk, this small skate park map is sure to deliver fast and frenetic Call of Duty action.
  • Mirage–This Gobi Desert multiplayer map utilises sand dunes to provide different levels of elevation and a sanctuary in the centre as a natural chokepoint.

Additionally, Revolution download-ers will find a new skyscraper-themed Zombies map titled “Die Rise” and a new Zombies mode that Treyarch is calling “Turned”. This new mode lets up to four players jump into a map where only one player gets to play as a human, the other three are zombies. The human player switches from powerful to weaker weapons as the game progresses, and the zombie player who takes them out becomes the next human. At the end of the match the player who has been the human the longest wins the round.
