With filming finally getting underway on the Entourage movie, it looks like the studio is scrambling to fill the remaining roles. Earlier this week we heard that Haley Joel Osment had signed on and today, Deadline is reporting that rapper Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi, will be joining the project as well.
For those who watched the show on television, you’ll know that Ari Gold no longer has his assistant Lloyd, and that’s where Cudi comes in. He’ll play the Hollywood agent’s new assistant and will likely bring his usual blend of charisma and charm to the role.
Though primarily known as a rapper, Cudi has been beefing up his acting resume in recent years. Next month will see him take a sizeable role in Need For Speed and having already seen the film, I can tell you that he’s great in it, serving as the comic relief and offering up some laugh out loud moments. So, I’m definitely eager to see him on the big screen again flexing his acting chops in what will no doubt be another comedic role.
